Apex Live In Care supplies Carers throughout Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire providing a specialised service to suit the specific and individual needs of our Clients. Our expertly trained staff offer a friendly, sympathetic and discreet approach in ensuring a high quality service at all times.
Live In Care is exactly as it sounds; a Carer lives with the Clients in their home providing an individual service as desired by the Clients themselves. We provide assistance to a diverse range of people and cater for couples as well as those living alone. From those who are seeking companionship and assistance with housekeeping; to those who are physically/mentally disabled, frail, elderly or terminally ill; and those who suffer from all manner of afflictions such as MS, ME, Alzheimers, Parkinson's, dementia, Huntingdon's and cancer to name but a few.
Continuity of Care is paramount to our belief of a good service. Carers are carefully selected prior to placement. Many of our Carers remain with their Clients on a long term basis and just take a break every couple of months to recharge their batteries! However, we do have Clients that like to see fresh faces every so often and here too we are happy to accommodate. In short we do everything in our power to offer you the service you are seeking.
We also guarantee to provide cover at all times. So, in the event that your Carer may be poorly and need a break we will always have a replacement before that Carer has to leave.
Live In Care may truly be tailored to specific needs; and is flexible so that the Care Package may change as the needs of the Client change. Below is an example of the typical day of a Carer to enhance your understanding of how we may be able to help you, your relative or friend.
A typical day of a Carer:
- Arise
- Feed and walk any pets
- Deliver tea/breakfast, newspaper and post in bed or to a desired location
- Prompt/assist with any medication requirements
- Assist with all aspects of personal care if necessary (including toileting, bathing etc)
- Assist with dressing and hair care etc
- Perform household duties (cleaning/laundry)
- Accompany Client to shops/dentist/doctor/hairdresser/ friends or family
- Prepare and serve lunch
- Break between 2pm and 5pm (we can organise any additional carer for this time)
- Perform household duties (cleaning/laundry)
- Prepare and serve dinner
- Assist with all aspects of personal care and undressing, ready for bed, bathing, shower etc
- Deliver a warm drink and tuck in for the night
NB - Individual Care Plans are designed during a meeting with our Live In Co-ordinator and the Client plus any family members, other concerned individuals are most welcome. A Live In Carer may do as little or as much as is required.
